Referee Commissioner Role

  • The role of the referee commissioner will be to recruit and train volunteer referees. The time commitment for this role varies from four to six hours per week. In addition to the weekly commitments, you should plan for consistent communication with the league director, and your referees.

    Referee Commissioner Responsibilities Recruit Referees
    Referees represent the highest level of authority on the field. Each game should be officiated by two quality referees.

    Train Referees
    All referees must attend a referee training meeting. This is the opportunity to share how each referee plays a pivotal role in shaping a fun sports experience for every participant.

    Communication
    Time will need to be spent coordinating efforts with the league director and each volunteer referee.
